Scholars Dinner Celebrates Greater Boston Students
The venerated Boston Scholars Dinner returned to campus this year, celebrating the success stories of Wentworth Institute of Technology students from Greater Boston, past, present, and future.
A tradition that goes back a number of years, the Boston Scholars Dinner is hosted by The Center for Community & Learning Partnerships. This year’s event carried the theme “Paving the Path: Our Journey to Success.”

The Story of WIT Open Mic Night
Words are transformative. They transform feelings into poems, memories into songs, and moments into the stories we share when we tell the Story of Us.
On November 13th, the Wentworth Institute of Technology community was invited to the third and final installment in this year's Story of WIT experience. Inspired by the Grammy-winning Taylor Swift album, the Speak Now Open Mic Night invited all to speak, to listen, and to share in the stories the folks who call Wentworth their home.

Graduate Studio Explores the Power of Design to Transform Vacant and Underused Urban Land
This semester, Wentworth professor and alumnus Danyson Tavares, Architecture ’11, Master of Architecture ’12, taught a Graduate Research Travel Studio in the Wentworth School of Architecture & Design that raised important ethical questions in its subject matter around the role of architects and designers.
Wentworth CM Club Builds Towering Canstructure for Charity
Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Construction Management Club participated in Canstruction Boston 2023, a charity event where teams of architects, designers, engineers, and contractors compete in awe-inspiring feats of engineering to create sculptures made from canned goods and other non-perishable food items-without the use of glue or other adhesives.
This year’s theme was “Celebrating New England.” The CM Club chose to build the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, which is located in Maine.
Wentworth Construction Management Students Triumph at CoreNet Global Academic Challenge
Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Construction Management program recently sent a group of students to the CoreNet Global conference, in Denver, Colorado to compete in the Academic Challenge 14 Competition and the group captured first prize.

Computer Science and Society Student Yeomans on Making a Difference
As a high school student in California, Jesselle Yeomans found herself highly interested in the idea of computers and the ability to give back. She found both in the unique Computer Science and Society degree program at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
“I like Boston, but I was also attracted to the smaller class sizes at Wentworth, knowing that I would have a lot of administration and staff to help me if I needed help,” said Yeomans.
16th Annual Veterans Luncheon Held Nov. 9
On Thursday, November 9, Wentworth Institute of Technology will host its 16th Annual Veterans Day Luncheon, an event to honor and celebrate the veterans and active-duty military members of the Colleges of the Fenway communities.
Pumpkin Innovation 2023
Teams of Wentworth Institute of Technology students were given a pumpkin, three days, and the use of space, materials, and tools, to create the most innovative pumpkin that they can come up with. Accelerate’s space was the inspiration for this year's contest.

Wentworth Adds Live Cams to Track Athletic Center Construction
Wentworth Institute of Technology has added two live cameras to allow everyone the ability to track the construction of the new Athletic Center. The cameras, which respectively look toward Mission Hill and Lower Roxbury, provide a 24/7 view of the construction progress.
