Graduation Requirements & Diplomas
Why Must a Student Apply to Graduate?
All students must initiate the graduation clearance process by submitting an application to graduate on LeopardWeb. Students who believe they are ready to receive their undergraduate degree from Wentworth and have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 are required to submit a graduation application by the respective deadline to ensure that their academic record is reviewed for degree conferral. Students ready to receive their graduate degree from Wentworth must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in order to apply for graduation. The graduation application also provides the Office of the Registrar with critical information needed to serve you, such as diploma name spelling. Please read the instructions carefully as you fill out your graduation application.
For questions related to graduation, please contact the Registrar's Office at graduation@wit.edu.

Graduation Checklist:
Graduation Application
- Submit a graduation application via LeopardWeb for an undergraduate or graduate degree and refer to dates above for specific deadlines. Degree(s) awarded will reflect the graduation date that follows the student’s successful completion of all degree requirements. Degrees are conferred in April, August, and December, with campus-wide Commencement celebrations in April (spring) and August (summer).
Transfer Credit Guidelines
To transfer credit as a graduate, you must:
- Notify the Registrar's Office if completing the final degree requirement(s) at another institution.
- Arrange to have an official transcript sent directly to the WIT Registrar's Office, showing the final grade. Please be advised that transcripts that arrive after the assigned deadlines will delay degree conferral until the next official graduation date!
Clear Degree Holds
Students with pending disciplinary actions with the Dean of Students and/or outstanding financial obligations will not be permitted to receive their diploma. If your diploma was previously withheld because of outstanding financial obligations or pending disciplinary actions and you have since been cleared, you must email the Registrar's Office at graduation@wit.edu to release your diploma.
Please contact your Student Accounts counselor with any billing-related questions at 617-989-5043 or via studentaccounts@wit.edu.
Complete an Exit Interview
All graduating students who received loans from the Perkins, WIT loan, or Stafford (Subsidized and Unsubsidized) loan programs are required to complete an online exit interview at www.studentloans.gov. More information can be found at the Billing and Financial Aid Perkins Loans page.
