The Wentworth Institute of Technology Sustainability Society (WITSS) promotes the importance of sustainability in materials, design, engineering, construction, and energy as our society moves toward a sustainable future.  

For the second-straight season, the top-seeded Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team topped the second-seeded Lasell Lasers, 3-1, in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, earning the Leopards their second-straight GNAC Championship and fourth overall. Each of Wentworth's last two championships have been won in front of a home crowd.

While weather forced a rescheduling for the Spring Career Fair, it did nothing to curb interest in the Co-ops & Careers event as 160 employers and 571 students took to Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Tansey Gym. 

A team of three senior students from Wentworth Institute of Technology's Business Management program took part in a live case study competition at the annual International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) conference in Orlando, Florida on April 12-13. 

The Office of the Provost and the Teaching & Learning Collaborative recently hosted a faculty and staff showcase to celebrate the following scholarly and innovative work and collaborations happening at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Wentworth stays #1 whether or not you filter for low sticker price, positioning it well as an option for value and return on investment among the top-tier schools in the state.  

The year is 2000. You’re working on a report (due the next day) and you have one fact left to check. You go to your computer, open your browser…and wait. While you wait, you’re serenaded by the shriek of the computer as it connects to the Internet. 

For those lucky enough to grow up in the age of wi-fi and smartphones, this was called “dial-up,” and it was not something that most of us found inspiring. 

Last month, Wentworth Institute of Technology welcomed Ron Burton Training Village students to campus for a STEM Day event. Students participated in rotating sessions getting the opportunity to explore topics in math and data science, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and the design process. 

Wentworth Institute of Technology’s CEIS Commons will host the opening of the “Designing for Life: Fragile Ecologies” exhibition on Thursday, March 30 at 6 p.m. The exhibition—free and open to the public—will remain on display until September 15, giving visitors ample time to explore the work of the School of Architecture and Design. 

The Boston Globe details Wentworth Institute of Technology’s 500 Huntington multi-use building project, which is being overseen by the Huntington Development. 

Andrea Leers, FAIA, an internationally recognized leader in urban, campus, and civic design, will be Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Spring 2023 Commencement keynote speaker.   

Graduate student Greg Murphy has been named the student speaker for Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Spring 2023 Commencement ceremony.  

The 2023 Women @ Wentworth event promises to be an informative and inspirational event celebrating the achievements of women in various fields, including the first to ever graduate from the Institute. 

Two women with Wentworth Institute of Technology connections will be honored with 2023 BWIC (Building Women in Construction) Inspire Awards next week during the annual event held by The Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC MA). 

Samuel Altschuler, a longtime Wentworth Institute of Technology benefactor and corporator who—with his wife, Nancy—left a lasting imprint through the Altschuler Computer Center, recently passed away at the age of 95. 

Three members of Wentworth Institute of Technology’s men's basketball program were honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference when the league announced its major awards and all-conference teams on Tuesday. 
 

Leaders of industry and government including former Governor Mike Dukakis, Secretary of Transportation/MassDOT CEO Gina Fiandaca, and Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver participated in a robust dialogue at Wentworth Institute of Technology regarding transportation in Massachusetts.  

Wentworth Institute of Technology’s National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) chapter held its annual fashion show on Feb. 18 to “express the beauty, boldness, and elegance of Black culture through fashion.” 

Cyprus—an island jewel that rests in the Mediterranean Sea—is known for its beauty and deep history. This summer, a select number of Wentworth students will have the opportunity to study there.  

The Colleges of the Fenway (COF) hosted its 25th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at Wentworth Institute of Technology on January 31, 2023.  

A panel discussion with members of the COF and Boston community took place to discuss the legacy of Dr. King with music provided by COF students.
