Your Health is Important

Medical

Medical plans are provided through Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC). We offer a PPO, an HMO, and an HMO with HSA so you can choose the best plan for you. You may also opt for additional FSA and prescription drug benefits.

Dental

Dental coverage is provided through Cigna with two different options depending on the coverage you need. Diagnostic and preventative care is 100% covered on both plans.

Vision

Wentworth provides access to quality vision care with a comprehensive vision benefit through VSP.

Supporting a Sensible Work/Life Balance

We think your time away from work is just as important as the time you spend with us. Wentworth offers generous paid time off, that allows you ample time to rest and recharge so you can be the best version of yourself.

Vacation

Employees start with 15 days (exempt) or 10 days (non-exempt) of vacation time per year, which increases up to 20 days per year after several years of service. Time rolls over each year, up to 200 total hours.

Holidays

Wentworth provides 13 paid holidays with additional days added at the university’s discretion.

Sick Time & Personal Days

Employees accrue 1 sick day/month, which rolls over each year up to 500 total hours. Employees also receive 3 personal days each fiscal year.

Tuition Assistance

For employees, at Wentworth:

  • Undergraduate - Tuition waived for up to 8 credits per semester upon hire
  • Graduate - Tuition waived for up to 8 credits per semester after one year of service

At Colleges of the Fenway partner institutions, tuition waived for one undergraduate-level course per semester upon approval (after one year of service)

At other schools, tuition reimbursement for up to 8 graduate credits upon approval (after two years of service)

Protection From the Unexpected

When life throws a curveball, maintaining your standard of living depends on the proper protection. Wentworth offers disability coverage to protect you financially if you cannot work due to a debilitating injury. A portion of your income is protected until you can return to work or until you reach retirement age.

Retiring with Peace of Mind

Wentworth offers 403(b) retirement plans through TIAA to help you save for the future. After 1 year of service at the institution, Wentworth contributes a sum equal to 10% of an employee’s pay each period, with no required employee contribution. This waiting period is waived for employees who have spent at least 5 years at an eligible higher ed institution or non-profit.

Employees can also contribute to supplemental pre- and post-tax retirement options.

Commuter Benefits for Your Mode of Travel

Wentworth allows employees to choose a subsidized monthly MBTA pass or reduced on-campus parking passes, depending on their preferred commuting method.
