Parking for Commencement 

Parking on campus is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until all lots are filled. Available lots include Halleck, Mindoro, and the Annex lots only. 

Accessible Parking is available in the West Lot for family who have a valid handicap sticker, license plate or hanging tag in their vehicle. The security guard will be checking.

  • If your family’s vehicle does not have the handicap designation, your family member can be dropped off at the West Lot entrance, check-in there and proceed to the tent. You will have to park in our other lots if space is available or nearby lots that are available - see below.

There are several parking lots within a short walking distance to campus; visit the FAQ page on the website for the list.

We highly recommend public transportation or using rideshare services if possible.

Student Check-In for the Ceremony

11:15 AM – 12:00 PM Watson Auditorium 

What to bring:

  • YOUR CAP, GOWN, HOOD, and TASSEL! 
  • Your Phone with your QR code downloaded to your wallet (check your WIT email!)
    • Your Wentworth ID or License 
  • Honors and Veteran Cords will be distributed at Check-In

Family and Friends Arrival for the Ceremony

  • There are NO extra tickets. All tickets have been distributed. All 275 graduates will have family and friends in attendance.
  • Commencement is a ticketed event. Be sure you share your tickets with your family. They can print them or have them on their mobile phone. 
  • Tickets will be scanned at 555 Parker Street near Tansey Gym, at the West Lot entrance, and on the Pike near the Mass Art Tree House. 
  • Campus is closed to all non-ticketed individuals. They can meet you for your post-commencement celebrations when you leave campus. 
  • Doors open at 11:15 AM. Family and friends should be seated by 12:15 PM. Once the commencement processional begins, they will not be able to enter the campus or the tent until it is completed. If they wish to see you enter the tent, please advise them to arrive and be seated by 12:15 PM. 
  • Accessible Seating: If you have a family member using a wheelchair or walker, the chairs in the tent can be removed, allowing them to use their own device for seating and remain with your group.  
  • Concessions will be offered for sale at Tessie's Market and the Leopard Café in Beatty Hall, 2nd floor. 
  • Gift vendors will be on-site, and the campus bookstore will be open for purchases until 4:00 p.m.

  • Your caps and gowns are 100% recyclable.  
  • Commencement Programs will be digitally viewable during the ceremony on our website and available to you at no charge via a print-on-demand option if you would like a commemorative copy that will be mailed to the address you provide. The ordering page can be found here . The book will be live on the day of your ceremony. 
    • QR code signs will be available for family and friends to scan upon arrival to view the book.

How to Watch Commencement

Family and friends can tune in to the livestream starting at 12:35 PM EST to view the processional and the ceremony from home - there are NO campus viewing spaces. Campus is closed for commencement and only ticketed guests can attend.

Post-Commencement Gathering

After commencement, come back to the Quad for photos and a celebratory reception. Complimentary light refreshments will be served. The Quad will be decorated for the occasion, and you are invited to gather with classmates, friends, and family to connect with your faculty before leaving campus to continue celebrating this accomplishment.

Diplomas

Your diploma will be mailed 5-7 weeks from the official graduation date to verify that all degree requirements have been met. Diplomas will then be printed and mailed, courtesy of Parchment, to the preferred shipping address provided in your graduation application. For diploma information, you can email graduation@wit.edu

Transcripts

April graduates, you can order your Electronic PDF or Paper Transcripts online through Parchment. please select the “Hold for Degree” option. Transcripts with degree information will be ready approximately three (3) weeks after grades are posted.
