See below for general application requirements as well as additional requirements for international students and Wentworth undergraduate students interested in applying to one of our accelerated 4+1 master's degrees.

The Online Application
Official Transcripts
Applicants must request that their undergraduate degree-awarding institution send an official transcript to gradadmissions@wit.edu

Letter(s) of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation should be strictly professional or academic. They can come from a professor or a supervisor from a work or volunteer experience. Letters of recommendation should not come from friends, family, or family friends.
Master's of Architecture
- Two letters of recommendation are required
All Other Graduate Programs
- One letter of recommendation is required.
Statement of Purpose:
Master's of Architecture
Please answer the first question below, and any ONE of the remaining three questions (your choice). Upload your responses together in a single letter-sized .pdf file.
- Describe why you are interested to pursue a graduate degree in architecture. For example, how will earning a M.Arch further your personal and professional goals and interests? (300 words +/-).
- Describe a building you’ve visited in person that you felt was ‘well-designed.’ What criteria did you consider? Why are those criteria important to an analysis of architecture? (200 words +/-).
- Name a single building that you have never visited in person but would like to (and why?). (200 words +/-).
- Speculate on the role that architecture does (or could) play in contemporary society. How might it make a positive impact? (200 words +/-).
All Other Graduate Programs
- What inspired you to enter a graduate program in this field? (300 words)
- What are your career aspirations? How do you expect a graduate degree will help you achieve these goals? (300 words)

Accelerated 4+1 Master's Degree Applications
Current Wentworth students
We will request your official transcript on your behalf and automatically waive the application fee. Internal candidates who have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 at the end of their junior year may qualify for Automatic Acceptance into a program related to their major.
Architecture (1-year track)
Wentworth Bachelor of Science in Architecture students who wish to enroll in the one-year Master of Architecture program must do so in their senior year; acceptance is based on a portfolio evaluation by department faculty, cumulative GPA, resume, a statement of objectives, and references.
