Construction Management Industry Advisory Board
Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Construction Management Industry Advisory Board (IAB) supports the Construction Management program, which is accredited by the American Council of Construction Education. All members of the IAB have the opportunity to attend general membership meetings (offered twice a year in the fall and spring) and to participate in helping to further the mission of the program. In addition, members are entitled to participate in a networking event with students each fall and an industry mentorship program beginning each January.
Individuals and companies contribute annual membership dues (tiered structure ranging from $100 for individuals through $2,500 Platinum level for companies) to participate in the IAB, which support many program activities. These funds have been used to:
- provide scholarships to all female students who are pursuing majors in Construction Management;
- enable juniors enrolled in the Construction Management program to take the Construction Manager in Training exam;
- support student participation in the program’s study abroad semester at Waterford Institute of Technology (Ireland) (not offered in the 2020-2021 academic year); and
- support student participation in workshops and student competitions.
