Interior Design Accreditation
Accreditation Statement
The interior design program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, 206 Grandville Avenue, Suite 350, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503.
The CIDA-accredited program prepares students for entry-level interior design practice, for advanced study, and to apply for membership in professional interior design organizations. The Bachelor of Science degree granted by Wentworth Institute of Technology meets the educational requirement for eligibility to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Examination (NCIDQ Exam). Student Statistics and Student Achievement
Bachelor of Science in Interior Design Degrees Awarded:
20 Graduates received their B.S. in Interior Design in August 2023.
Retention:
84% of students admitted in the fall of 2023 returned in the fall of 2024.
Attrition:
16% of the students admitted in the fall of 2023 did not return in the fall of 2024.
Graduation Rate:
Of the Fall 2017 cohort, 78.6% graduated in 4 years, and 78.6% in 5-6 years.

Employment Rates:
66.7% of the Class of 2023 reported employment within 6 months of graduation.
Graduate Studies:
Of the 2023 graduates who responded to the survey, none indicated that that they were enrolled in graduate school 1 year after graduation.
Since 2015-2016, 13 "double leopards" have graduated from Wentworth:
- 10 Bachelor of Science in Interior Design graduates have graduated with a Master of Architecture degree.
- 3 Bachelor of Science in Interior Design graduates have graduated with a Master’s in Project Management.
Additional graduates have earned graduate degrees at other institutions.
