Wentworth Institute of Technology is well-poised for greatness, addressing the needs of a fast-changing society and various industries by staying true to its mission of empowering learners with the skills they need to be successful in the global marketplace. The university was founded in response to the skill gap brought about by the Industrial Revolution and things have come full circle as industry is faced today with a skill gap in a number of fields that make up the fabric of Wentworth’s academic portfolio.

A number of Class of 1973 alumni gathered in Watson Auditorium on May 20 to be honored for their time at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and to mark 50 years since graduating. Some have gone on to successful careers in engineering, business, and other fields. Others have stayed connected to their alma mater through industry partnerships or gifts over the years.

In a significant stride toward promoting diversity and excellence in architectural education, Wentworth Institute of Technology has announced the establishment of the Genevieve McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation Fund.

A snow-removing Roomba, hazardous area robotic arm, and a sewer inspector are among robots created by teams of Wentworth Institute of Technology students and professors.  

The projects—overseen by Professors Bo Tao and John Voccio within the School of Engineering—are recent examples of the robotic wizardry that Wentworth students have been creating.  

The new Robotics Lab has opened to students on the Boston campus of Wentworth Institute of Technology, with new equipment arriving regularly. 

As Wentworth Institute of Technology students prepare their underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) for competition next month, we chatted with Assistant Professor Saurav Basnet about his role in advising the team.  

Wentworth Institute of Technology student Andrew Hogan has developed a path planning program that can be used to simulate the movement of search and rescue robots in hazardous environments. The program, which is based on a visibility graph, can be used to generate safe and efficient paths for robots to follow in areas with static and dynamic obstacles.

Wentworth Institute of Technology has introduced scholarships for robotics enthusiasts in the upcoming Fall 2023 admission cycle. These scholarships reflect Wentworth's commitment to fostering and supporting students with a passion for robotics and technology. 

A book co-edited by Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor Ronald Bernier sets the theoretical frameworks and interpretive strategies for exploring the re-emergence of religion in the making, exhibiting, and discussion of contemporary art.

As these students will tell you, the answer is within walking distance—and there are some fun stops to make along the way. 

The Muddy River Symposium—a locally-renowned climate change awareness event—returned for the 17th time and a handful of Wentworth Institute of Technology students provided standout presentations.

Beginning in the fall of 2023, the Wentworth Institute of Technology Athletic Department will grow by two sports as women's indoor track and field and women's outdoor track and field will be added as varsity sports. Director of Athletics Cheryl Aaron made the announcement.
