Tetris CEO Maya Rogers Named Commencement Keynote Speaker

Maya Rogers, President and CEO of Tetris, and a founding partner of the Blue Startups venture accelerator, will be the keynote speaker for the Schools of Architecture & Design, Computing & Data Science, Management, and Science & Humanities at Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Summer Commencement on August 14. 

As President and CEO of Tetris, Rogers leads the global strategy for the iconic video game brand. Her leadership in game development, marketing, and global licensing has been pivotal in maintaining Tetris’s status as a fan favorite worldwide, with top-ranked titles like Tetris 99 and Tetris Effect launching under her guidance. She has also directed the expansion of Tetris into a global lifestyle brand with more than 90 licensing partners. 

In addition to her role at Tetris, Rogers is a Founding Partner of Blue Startups, Hawaiʻi’s first venture accelerator. Since 2014, the organization has invested in over 100 technology companies, with a focus on sustainability, female founders, and gaming. Her work has helped establish Hawaiʻi as a growing hub for entrepreneurial activity. 

Rogers serves on numerous boards, including the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, the American Red Cross Hawaiʻi Chapter, and the U.S.-Japan Council. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.
