Over the next several weeks, construction activities will focus on completing critical underground infrastructure, utility installations, and site preparation work. Crews will continue steam utility installation and testing, including welding, pressure testing, insulation, and backfilling operations, while also advancing water, sewer, storm drainage, and electrical utility connections throughout the site. Work will continue at Ruggles Street, Huntington Avenue, and the areas surrounding the MassArt Tree House and Edwards/Rodgers buildings, with a combination of daytime and limited nighttime construction activities to safely complete utility tie-ins and minimize disruption. In addition, crews will complete walkway and entrance improvements at Edwards/Rogers, including waterproofing, grading, concrete sidewalk installation, asphalt paving, and final site restoration. Preparations will also begin for the next phase of construction, including deep foundation pile installation, office trailer setup, temporary power work, and construction mock-up development. These activities represent important milestones in preparing the site for the start of major building construction.
