Forbes released its Top Colleges 2025 list and has once again included Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The publication also named Wentworth to its top “Private Colleges” list and placed the university within the top 100 “Northeast” colleges.

Matt Gruber has been named Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration for Wentworth Institute of Technology. He will serve on the university’s Executive Council and will oversee the following functions: Business, Finance, Human Resources, Legal & Risk Management, Police, and Technology Services.

Wentworth Institute of Technology has been selected to host a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence from South Africa to teach in the School for Computing and Data Science during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Finding the right class, picking a club, and making friends are typically part of the excitable nervousness that comes with starting a new fall semester. But often there are deep concerns about failing a class, making the wrong choices, or not fitting in.  

AI, or Artificial Intelligence, is everywhere, whether you realize it or not.  

To the Wentworth Community and Friends: 

Wentworth Institute of Technology alumni have forged a strong reputation for their impact in the community and throughout the world, but also for their strong support of current students and fellow alumni through mentorship, co-ops, and jobs.

On Friday, August 16, The Wentworth Alumni Association (WAA) Awards Ceremony featured eight alumni honored in a variety of categories, in addition to Class of 2024 students receiving awards for the highest grade point average in their respective majors.  

When Luciana Burdi was 28, she made the decision to leave her native Italy and come to America. Though she was comfortable at home and did not speak English, she felt a longing for something more and decided to take the leap.

The move would lead to a highly successful career at MassPort, her partner and children, and countless mentors and friends.  

The director for Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs for the Massachusetts Port Authority spoke to Wentworth Institute of Technology graduates during the morning ceremony of Summer Commencement on August 17.
