Meet the Orientation Staff

Our student orientation staff members are excited to welcome to you to campus! The students highlighted below are part of our New Student Orientation (NSO) team. Every new student, whether they participate in NSO in person or virtually, is assigned an Orientation Leader who will guide them through orientation and provide support throughout the summer.

Where have you found community and/or support at Wentworth?

I have found community at Wentworth in not only clubs but also getting to know the staff in all the departments as well as my professors.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The Quad is my favorite spot especially in the summer semester!

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My favorite part about orientation is creating a mini family with the students and staff and getting to meet new people!

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

I am originally from Albania which is a small country in Europe and I speak Albanian!

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Make the most out of every opportunity offered as you never know where it could lead to in the next 4 years.

Dorming on campus has helped me find my community, as well as my place of work.

My favorite spot is either Beatty or the Quad!

Bonding with other individuals and making connections.

I enjoy playing video games!

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Make sure to get involved early, and make those connections.

I have found community at Wentworth through the various clubs I am involved and with the international student community at Wentworth.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is by far the Library (mezzanine area). FYI: it has lots of comfy seats!

What is your favorite part about orientation?

Best part of orientation is that you get to meet a lot of people that you then call friends.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

My favorite hobby is baking!

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Get involved! That’s the best way to meet new people and feel part of the community.

I've found community through the people in my classes as well as on campus clubs and employments. I met so many amazing people through Wentworth Opening Week (WOW), SWE and on campus jobs.

My favorite spot on campus is the library’s study rooms

Best part of orientation is all the fun activities!!

A fun fact about myself is that I grew up on a farm.

I have found community among my many clubs and among the teacher/staff at Wentworth.

My favorite spot on campus is the Center for Engineering Innovation and Sciences (CEIS) building.

What is your favorite part about orientation?

Best part of orientation is getting to explore Boston for the first time.

A fun fact about myself is that I love all things Disney and anything to do with inventing.

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Fun Fact: I have had around 40 pets in my life.

Where have you found community and/or support at Wentworth?

I have found community in all my extracurriculars but especially with the orientation and admissions staff. Theses students are some of the most fun and welcoming people I've ever met. They're all hard working and intelligent people that are a great influence on my life.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the library

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My favorite part of orientation is the night time activities. They're for the incoming students but it feels more like play than work.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

I'm working on making my own website to use for co-op applications, like a digital resume. This was inspired by one of my professors that has a website for each of his classes.

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Get as involved as you can. It's a great way to meet people with similar interests and values. Put yourself out there to meet people and you'll make friends for life.

Where have you found community and/or support at Wentworth?

The success studio is an all around useful department to take advantage of with plenty of friendly staff who will help you either directly or direct you to whoever can help you.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

On a nice day, the seats in the quad are fun just to relax in between classes or to eat lunch.

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My favorite part about orientation as a freshman was the bigger group games like ships and sailors.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

One of my favorite hobbies is running and I hope to run a marathon sometime during my time in Boston.

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Take advantage of the first few weeks of the semester to meet new people since many people are in the same boat as yourself.

My favorite hobby is Skateboarding.

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Manage your time wisely, enjoy your time here and have fun, but keep up with your classes or you won’t be able to.

I found community in my suite and on my floor where I dorm at Wentworth.

The Study Rooms in the library.

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My favorite part was the big carnival during Wentworth Opening Week, loved the racing blowup thing.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

I love learning new things, especially new tricks to do on trampolines.

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Go to the events on campus throughout the school year, they tend to give out free stuff and tend to be fun!

Where have you found community and/or support at Wentworth?

I have found my support within the friends I've made in and outside my major, as well as my professors.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is Einstein's, love me a cold brew and an Avocado Veg-Out! I also love sitting on the quad on a sunny day.

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My favorite part of orientation was definitely meeting new people, some of them being my closest friends to this day. Orientation gave me the ability to start with a blank slate and surround myself with good people.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

Fun Fact: I keep a bottle of Chick-fil-A sauce in my dorm fridge at all times!

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Put yourself out there, take risks and start conversations with people! Remember everyone is on the same boat and trying to make friends and become comfortable in a new environment.

I've made many friends from ultimate frisbee as well as through living on campus and participating in RA events.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

Beatty Hall basement breakout rooms or Library.

What is your favorite part about orientation?

My orientation was mostly online but the walks we did around Boston were some of my favorite events.

Share one fun fact about yourself or your favorite hobby:

I am currently a mentor for FIRST Robotics Competition team 58 and I've participated in FRC for 7 years now!

A piece of advice I have for new students is:

Participate in as many events and clubs on campus as your time allows you too. Its the best way to make new friends and have fun in your free time.
