Events Planned in Honor of Black History Month
Wentworth Institute of Technology has announced several programs in honor of Black History Month.
The Center for Diversity and Social Justice Programs has partnered with National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Black Wentworth Coalition to bring a wide range of events throughout the month of February.
Events are for open to all students. Faculty and staff are welcome to attend when noted. All events will be held virtually.
BLACK JEOPARDY
February 4, 2021 @ 6:00PM
Join NSBE for a night of fun and prizes while celebrating Black History.
BUILDING BLACK LEADERSHIP NIGHT
February 11, 2021 @ 6:00PM
Hosted by the Black Wentworth Coalition, this evening will feature interactive activities and dialogues focusing on Black leadership.
RACISM IN THE DARK
February 18, 2021 @ 6:00PM
This annual student-led program allows participants to anonymously and openly talk about their experiences with racism. Faculty and staff are welcome to join.
BLACK ALUMNI SOCIAL
February 25, 2021 @ 6:00PM
The Center for Diversity and Social Justice Programs and the Office of Institutional Advancement are teaming to invite alumni back for an evening of community and network. Current students are invited to participate.
