Robbin Beauchamp, Assistant Provost of Cooperative Education and Career Development at Wentworth Institute of Technology, has been recognized with the 2026 Distinguished Leadership Award by the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE).

The award honors lasting contributions to both EACE and the broader career services field. Because it is given only at the EACE Board's discretion rather than on an annual basis, it represents a rare and significant level of peer recognition for visionary leadership and the development of innovative resources.

"I am humbled and grateful for this recognition," Beauchamp said.

Beauchamp’s leadership is on display in her latest work. Following a recent survey of nearly 60 Wentworth co-op employers, she authored a new piece exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping early-career roles.

In her article, "AI, Early Talent, and Workforce Readiness: What Employers Are Really Seeing," Beauchamp notes that while AI is changing how entry-level employees work, it is not replacing them. Core human skills like problem-solving, ethical reasoning, and critical thinking remain the true differentiators in the hiring process.

Beauchamp also highlights how Wentworth is evolving to meet this shifting demand, specifically pointing to the university’s new Bachelor of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence launching this fall, which aims to transition students from basic AI literacy to true AI capability.
