December 1 - Health Insurance Waiver Available on or before this date
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all students (undergraduate, graduate, and Co-op) who are enrolled as three-quarter time or more credits be covered by the student health insurance plan or a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. Wentworth automatically adds the charge for a Student Health Insurance Plan to the EBill of every student.
The student health insurance charge can be waived if you have adequate coverage as outlined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but you must take action to waive it. Health insurance and waiver information can be found on the Student Health Insurance website. Waiver applications should be submitted by the EBill due date. Approved waivers will automatically show as a credit on the EBill in 48 hours.
Students who are not covered by a family plan must enroll in the Student Health Insurance Program.
Students who have not waived or enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Program by the semester’s due date may incur late payment fees and have a hold on their student account that will prevent them from moving into campus housing.
You will receive an email about the health insurance process which is when you will be able to opt-in or waive it. Please do not attempt to complete this step before receiving the email.
