Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
Frequently Asked Questions about DACA
Wentworth Institute of Technology welcomes applications from Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students.
-
What do I need to know as a DACA student applying to Wentworth?
Wentworth’s degree requirements include the completion of two cooperative education work semesters. Each DACA applicant must submit a copy of their U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) DACA approval and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) with the application. Please email the copies directly to admissions@wit.edu.
-
Are DACA students eligible for Wentworth merit scholarships?
Yes, DACA students are evaluated and awarded merit scholarships in the same manner as all other applicants.
-
Are DACA students eligible for Massachusetts state or federal financial aid?
At this time, DACA and undocumented students are not eligible for federal student aid. We encourage students to look for private scholarships to assist with funding their education.
Students who attended Massachusetts high schools may be eligible for a portion of state grant funds and should see this page for additional information including how to apply.
Please contact our Financial Aid Office finaid@wit.edu or (617) 989-5044 for any additional questions.
