For eligible Servicemembers, Veterans, Or Dependents (transferred benefit)

- The Post-9/11 GI Bill® can pay some or all your tuition & fees (Paid to Wentworth)
- provide a monthly housing allowance while you are enrolled in classes (Paid to you)
- up to $1,000 a year to use for books and supplies. (Paid to you)
Does not pay Wentworth for:
- On-campus Housing
- Meal plans
- Parking Pass
- Other fees that are considered optional
Requires Monthly Verification with the VA:
Full-Time Vs. Part-Time status (“Rate of Pursuit”):
- The undergraduate rate of pursuit is 12 Credits for traditional length semesters
- Graduate rate of pursuit 9 Credits for traditional length semesters
- Rate of pursuit calculator (VA makes the final determination): To help you determine if you are a full- or part-time student.
Other important notes:
- Must be enrolled more than 50% / Half-time time to receive any portion of the housing allowance
- Must take at least one campus or hybrid course to receive the residential housing allowance rate

Veteran Readiness And Employment (Chapter 31) | Veterans Affairs (va.gov)
For veterans with a service-connected disability that limits their ability to work or prevents them from working.

- once enrolled, ensure your VR&E counselor sends to Wentworth your Purchase Order paperwork to ensure billing and your school supplies are covered.
- Benefits may vary, your VR&E counselor will have specific for your situation.
Montgomery GI Bill® Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR Ch. 1606) | Veterans Affairs (va.gov)
For qualifying members of the Reserves or National Guard

- Pays a monthly stipend while enrolled in classes (2022-23): $439.00
- May receive additional funds if eligible for a “kicker” in your enlistment contract

VA Education Benefits For Survivors And Dependents (Ch. 35) | Veterans Affairs
For eligible dependents spouses or children of qualifying deceased or 100% disabled veterans

Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, Section 103
Wentworth will not impose any penalty, including the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual’s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to the institution due to the delayed disbursement funding from VA under chapter 31 or 33.
Wentworth allows any covered individual to attend or participate in the course of education during the period beginning on the date on which the individual provides to the educational institution a certificate of eligibility (COE) for entitlement to educational assistance under chapter 31 or 33 a COE can also include a “Statement of Benefits” obtained from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) website – eBenefits, or a VAF 28-1905 form for chapter 31 authorization purposes and ending on the earlier of the following dates:
The date on which payment from VA is made to the institution.
90 days after the date the institution certified tuition and fees after receiving the certificate of eligibility.
This Act applies to Covered Individuals, who are any individuals entitled to educational assistance under Chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, or Chapter 33, Post-9/11 GI Bill ®benefits.
