A letter from Annamaria Wenner, Dean of Students
Dear Wentworth Students,
One of the aspects I love most about Wentworth is the sense of community and belonging we can establish as a small private university. As members of the University, we have a shared obligation to foster a safe and inclusive environment that is conducive to individual academic and personal growth. We also have the responsibility to protect the University’s reputation, as it is this reputation that provides power to the degree our students work so hard to obtain.
To achieve this, we must recognize that the behaviors of one can directly impact the experience of all. The choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility and we are accountable for our decisions. The policies and procedures set forth in the Student Code of Conduct should not be viewed as individual restrictions but rather as a collective agreement for the greater good. This agreement extends to decisions made by students not only on campus, but in communities and industries, both near and far. By upholding these policies, students demonstrate their commitment to the University, its members, and, ultimately, to themselves.
I invite all our students to read and understand the policies outlined in the Student Code of Conduct to understand the commitment each of you made upon your matriculation into the University. I thank you in advance for your continued commitment to our campus and our community.
Be safe. Be smart. Take care of each other. And, as always, make me proud.
