Two women with Wentworth Institute of Technology connections will be honored with 2023 BWIC (Building Women in Construction) Inspire Awards next week during the annual event held by The Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC MA).

“Here in Massachusetts, women play essential roles in all facets of the local construction sector,” said John Ferrante, CEO of AGC MA, in a statement. “The BWIC Inspire Awards pay tribute to their invaluable, wide-ranging, and growing contributions, and we congratulate this year’s exceptional winners.”

Stephanie Crepeau, Construction Management ’17, is receiving the BWiC Rising Star of the Year award. Crepeau is currently a superintendent for BOND Building Construction, where she has worked for six years.

Current Wentworth student Chaise Kakuk, Construction Management ’23, will receive the BWiC Young Achiever award. Kakuk has completed co-ops with Skanska, the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and Shawmut Design and Construction.

The awards will be presented on March 9 at 4 p.m. at the Westin Copley Hotel, Boston.
