Wentworth Hosts Civil Engineering Industry Leaders for ‘Future Trends’ Discussion
The Center for Engineering, Innovation and Sciences (CEIS) played host May 30 to an event that looked at the many ways Wentworth students and partners are using civil engineering to positively impact the world.
Titled “Future Trends in Civil Engineering: Shaping the Next Generation,” the breakfast featured a panel discussion with industry leaders Gary Bua, senior VP, HNTB; William Hadge, senior principal, GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc.; Ileen Gladstone, senior VP, GEI Consultants Inc.; Brian Sullivan, president, Tetra Tech Infrastructure Northeast Group; and Niklas Vigener, senior principal and head of building technology, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger.
Jack Duggan, chair of the Department of Civil Engineering, moderated the panel discussion. Faith Bade, associate director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, also spoke during the event.
Guests found networking opportunities prior to the start of the event and had the opportunity to tour the CEIS Civil Engineering labs and classrooms.
