Wentworth Athletics Celebrates Double CNE Scholar-Athlete Honors
It has been a banner week for Wentworth Athletics, with student-athletes from both the softball and baseball programs making their mark in the Conference of New England (CNE) end-of-season awards.
Leading the headlines are softball standout Kyla Igawa and baseball star Nick Cullinan, who have both been named the CNE Scholar-Athlete of the Year for their respective sports. The prestigious awards recognize their exceptional dedication and leadership both on the field and in the classroom.
The accolades extended well beyond the top honors. On the softball diamond, Lauren Trostel earned a First Team selection, Brianna Miller took home Second Team honors, and Haliegh Borden was named to the Community Service Team, rounding out a fantastic season for the squad.
Over on the baseball field, Cullinan paired his Scholar-Athlete award with a Second Team selection. Joining him with conference nods were Alec Peruzzi on the First Team, Christian Roncal and Josh Turcotte on the Third Team, and Cooper Smith, who was selected for the Community Service Team.
These awards cap off an exciting spring season and highlight the continued excellence of Wentworth's student-athletes.
