Success Boston Aims to Help More Boston Public Schools Students Complete College

Wentworth Institute of Technology is among a group of 15 Massachusetts universities committing to the goal of better retention of Boston Public Schools graduates as part of an initiative entitled Success Boston.  

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced her city’s recommitment to the initiative, which aims to reach a 70% completion rate for BPS graduates through a better understanding of socioeconomic barriers, system-level change, creating a shared policy agenda, and providing near-term, asset-based success strategies.  

"Let's figure out how we can formalize efforts around early college and career," Wu said, as reported by WCVB.
