Professor Howard Among Those Honored at Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast
Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor of History Ella Howard will be among those honored at the 26th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast Celebration.
Hosted by the Colleges of the Fenway (COF), the annual event draws faculty and staff together to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and our communities’ role in creating a more just world. The event includes performances from COF musical groups, introductions from COF community members, the awarding of an inclusive excellence award, as well as a keynote speaker.
Howard was selected as the 2024 COF MLK Inclusive Service Award Recipient.
Valerie Ward, MD, MPH, will be the event’s featured keynote speaker. Ward is a senior vice president and the chief equity and inclusion officer at Boston Children’s Hospital, the director of the Sandra L. Fenwick Institute for Pediatric Health Equity and Inclusion, and the director of the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion at Boston Children’s. She is also an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
The MLK Breakfast takes place January 30 from 9:00- 10:30 a.m. on the campus of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Registration is underway.
