After a nationwide search, Wentworth Institute of Technology has named Joseph Dacey, EdD, as its new Vice President of Enrollment Management.

Aiming to build upon Wentworth’s positive momentum to create an even more vibrant future, Dacey will bring nearly 20 years of successful enrollment leadership experience to the position.

Dacey comes to Wentworth from MARKETview Education Partners, an education technology firm. Serving as a Principal, he focused on providing data-driven consulting services to help universities with enrollment market analysis, prospective student search, and financial aid optimization.

Dacey previously spent nearly 13 years at Stonehill College, including as their VP for Enrollment Management where he spearheaded innovations that significantly increased applications and diversity in the student community. He also brings relevant experience from roles at Emmanuel College and Boston University.

This spring, Dacey was awarded an EdD in Higher Education Leadership from Boston College for his research on higher education access for low-income students. He holds an EdM in Education Policy Planning and Administration from Boston University, where he also served as an Associate Director in the Undergraduate Admission office. He received his BA in Philosophy from Stonehill College.

President Mark A. Thompson notes that Dacey stood out among a highly competitive pool of candidates from across the country.

“Joe demonstrated an in-depth understanding of Wentworth’s strengths, articulated opportunities to enhance our forward momentum, and brings a collaborative and compassionate approach to leadership,” said Thompson. “We’re excited to welcome him to our community.”

Dacey will officially begin his new role with Wentworth on June 24. Amy Sison will move into a new role as Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions.
