Women's Tennis Returns to Wentworth

Women's tennis will return to Wentworth in fall 2027 as the university's 20th varsity sport, restoring a program that first competed in the mid-1980s.

The Leopards will play a full schedule as members of the Conference of New England, the NCAA Division III league in which Wentworth competes.

"We are very excited to be in a position to sponsor women's tennis as a varsity sport and rejoin the now Conference of New England," said Cheryl Aaron, Director of Athletics. "I am very excited for our current student-athletes and for our alumnae who were dedicated to the tradition they helped to build."

To support both tennis programs, Wentworth will launch a national search for a full-time head coach who will lead, recruit for, and support the men's and women's teams. The position is expected to begin in Fall 2026, giving the coach a full year to build a roster before the women's team opens conference play.

Updates on the coaching search, schedules, and recruiting will be posted at wentworthathletics.com.
