After You Graduate
Diplomas
Degrees are awarded with the graduation date corresponding to the student’s successful completion of all degree requirements. Degrees are conferred in April, August, and December, with campus-wide Commencement ceremonies held in April (spring) and August (summer).
The Registrar's Office staff requires 5-7 weeks from the official graduation date to verify that all degree requirements have been met. Diplomas will then be printed and mailed courtesy of Parchment to the preferred shipping address provided in your graduation application. Students can expect to receive both their digital credential and their paper diploma from Parchment within the following timeframes:
| If your graduation date is in… | Your diploma will be mailed no later than… |
|---|---|
| April | May |
| August | September |
| December | January |
Duplicate Diploma Requests
Wentworth will order a diploma on your behalf upon the completion of your degree program. Any duplicate diploma requests must be ordered online through Parchment.
Clear Degree Holds
Students with pending disciplinary actions with the Dean of Students and/or outstanding financial obligations will not be permitted to receive their diploma. If your diploma was previously withheld because of outstanding financial obligations or pending disciplinary actions and you have since been cleared, you must email the Registrar's Office at graduation@wit.edu to release your diploma.
Please contact your Student Accounts counselor with any billing-related questions at 617-989-5043 or via studentaccounts@wit.edu.
Complete a Loan Exit Interview
All graduating students who received loans from the Perkins, WIT loan, or Stafford (Subsidized and Unsubsidized) loan programs are required to complete an online exit interview at www.studentloans.gov. More information can be found at the Billing and Financial Aid Perkins Loans page.
