Story of WIT- Taylor’s version

About the Story of WIT Experience

Since 2021, the Story of WIT experience has offered Wentworth’s students, faculty, and staff a space for expression and reflection. Together, we shared the stories of our Best Days and remembered the times we felt Fearless; we relived beginnings, feared for endings, and named our Wildest Dreams for uncertain futures.

This Fall, we are so proud to introduce Story of WIT: Taylor’s Version, a Taylor Swift inspired series, where you are invited to paint and to see, to speak and to listen, and, perhaps most importantly, to connect with our community through the stories that are uniquely and beautifully Ours.

Red: An Expressive Painting Experience

What color would you use to paint falling in love? Does heartbreak cast a shadow, or does it consume a canvas entirely? What is the shape of grief? The texture of hope? Is there a contrast between your past and your future; how do you paint it?

Through Red, Story of WIT welcomes you on a journey of introspection, creation, and expression. During this 2.5 hour workshop, experienced artists will offer individualized guidance as you use color and texture to bring your story to life on canvas.

Folklore: A Community Art Exhibit

The Folklore Community Art Exhibit is what happens when memories are transformed into masterpieces. Born from an exercise in self-reflection, each painting in the exhibit offers a snapshot of a moment in time and invites you into the heart and mind of the people who give shape to our community, and in doing so, tells the Story of WIT.

Gallery is open during library hours from October 2, 2023-October 31, 2023.

Date: October 1, 2022- October 31, 2023
Time: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM daily

Speak Now: An Open Mic Night

Words are transformative. They transform feelings into poems, memories into songs, and lived experiences into the stories we share when we speak about who we are.

Join us on November 13th  for the third annual Story of WIT open mic night. Inspired by the grammy winning album, Speak Now invites students, faculty, and staff to speak, to listen, and to find connection through the stories of our community.
