How 10 Minutes Can Help Shape Wentworth’s Future

At the end of every semester, the Wentworth community is presented with a unique opportunity: the chance to reflect, communicate, and create a direct impact on the future of the university’s academic experience. 

This opportunity is the course evaluation period, and the Fall 2025 window is set to open from Monday, November 18, to Thursday, December 5. 

These evaluations are a critical component of Wentworth's commitment to continuous improvement. The honest, thoughtful feedback provided by students is actively used by educators and administrators. These insights are the primary driver for refining courses, enhancing teaching methods, and implementing real, substantive changes to the curriculum. 

"Your voice is an essential part of this process," said Steve Sherrin of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Planning. "We are genuinely encouraging your feedback on what worked well and where improvements can be made." 

A New Survey Built on Your Feedback 

The university has also listened to feedback about the evaluation process itself. Knowing that the end of the semester is a busy time, Wentworth has completely updated the survey. The new version is shorter, easier to navigate, and designed to be completed in 10 minutes or less. It consists of just 15 targeted questions and two open-ended comment boxes, making it more efficient than ever to share your valuable perspective. 

“Course evaluations highlight the student voice providing an opportunity to participate in continuous improvement of courses, programs and Wentworth as an institution,” said Vice Provost Joe Martel-Foley. 

Faculty can learn more about the updated survey at tinyurl.com/witcourseevals and are encouraged to set aside 10 minutes in class to help boost response rates.

To thank students for providing this essential, constructive feedback, the university is offering several high-value prizes. All students who complete their evaluations will be entered into a random drawing to win:
