Serdar Tumkor
Bio
Serdar Tumkor is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and William E. Roberts Endowed Professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Dr. Tumkor has more than 30 years of experience in education, having taught at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Istanbul Technical University.
He has been teaching design and manufacturing courses in Mechanical Engineering. He specialized in design and simulation tools for engineering education, CAD/CAM, and additive manufacturing applications for mechanical engineering.
He is the Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) Key Professor. In 2022, he established the American Foundry Society (AFS) Student Chapter at Wentworth Institute of Technology and has been serving as its advisor.
