Semere Gebresilasie
Bio
Dr. Semere Gebresilasie received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Asmara, Eritrea, in 2005, and his Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, in 2015. He joined Wentworth Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in 2016 and is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the School of Computing and Data Science.
Dr. Gebresilasie teaches a wide range of courses in applied mathematics, including Industrial Problems in Applied Mathematics, Time Series Analysis, Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Advanced Statistics, Probability and Statistics for Engineers, and Mathematical Modeling.
His research interests include Mathematical Finance, Stochastic Calculus, and Survival Analysis. In addition to his academic research, Dr. Gebresilasie has a strong interest in stock market dynamics and options trading.
