Bio
I work at the intersection of geometric analysis and mathematical physics. I am interested in how fundamental physical interactions (gravitational and strong nuclear) can be described in terms of curvature, whether of spacetime itself or internal space describing degrees of freedom relevant to an interaction. I often involve interested undergraduates in my research, particularly on quantum cosmology (the construction and interpretation of a "wavefunction of the universe").
I most enjoy teaching and researching in areas of mathematics which involve a norm (a generalization of a length measurement), continuous variables, and a geometric interpretation. This means that I often teach multivariable calculus, differential equations, and real or complex analysis, among other topics.
