Liza Lynch
Bio
Liza’s painting and drawings explore identity - how you know someone - through the lens of the act of collecting and collections. Liza’s work has been shown in international and national group shows including “Drawing Discourse (17th Annual International Contemporary Drawing Exhibition)” at the University of North Carolina Asheville (2026) and “2024 National Juried Show” at the Newbury Art Association (2024) where her work received an honorable mention. Her work was also awarded an Artist Fellowship from the Mass Cultural Council (2022). Liza received her BFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007 where she studied Painting and minored in Art History. She received a Post Baccalaureate and a Studio Diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Liza earned her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in 2013. At present she is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at Wentworth Institute of Technology and a practicing artist.
