Kushagra Varma
Bio
Dr. Kushagra Varma is an Assistant Professor of Construction Management in the School of Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
He earned his Ph.D. in Architecture Engineering and Construction Management (AECM) from Carnegie Mellon University, where he developed a 4D dashboard to visualize urban energy and emissions data. He also holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India.
Dr. Varma is a certified PMP, LEED AP, WELL AP, and ENVISION SP, and is an active member of professional organizations including CMAA, AGC, PMI, ACCE, and AIA. His work has been recognized with several honors, including the Faculty Appreciation Award at Stevens Tech (2019), P.J. Dick Doctoral Fellowship (2021-2024), Emerging Scholar Award (2022), Steinbrenner Institute Doctoral Fellowship (2022), EDF Climate Corps Fellowship with the City of Orlando (2023), and the Spark Research Grant at Wentworth (2024-25). He has presented at national and international conferences, advancing knowledge at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and construction management.
