Aspen Olmsted

Bio
Aspen Olmsted holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
Before entering academia, Aspen was the CEO of Alliance Software Corporation, a company that developed enterprise applications for the performing arts and humanities.
Currently, Aspen is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Previously, Aspen was a Program Director and Associate Professor at Simmons University and an acting Program Director for Cyber Fellows at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Aspen also served as an Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Director at the College of Charleston.
Dr. Olmsted's research focuses on developing algorithms and architectures for distributed enterprise solutions that prioritize security, correctness, and high availability. Aspen mentors numerous graduate and undergraduate students annually in secure software development research.
Aspen is also the author of books such as "Security-Driven Software Development" and "Visual Basic Quickstart Guide."
