Cristina Cosma PhD
Bio
Cristina Cosma, PhD, PE, MASCE, is a professor of construction management at Wentworth Institute of Technology in the School of Management.
She holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Florida and is a registered professional engineer. Dr. Cosma was born in Romania, where she graduated with a BSCE in civil engineering. She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Florida where she conducted research on Total Quality Management. Before starting her teaching career at Wentworth, she worked in Florida for Granite Construction, a heavy construction general contractor.
She was also an assistant professor at the “Gh. Asachi” Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI), Romania. Dr. Cosma authored and co-authored multiple research papers and three books. Dr. Cosma is a member of several professional associations and was honored with the 2020 MCAA Educator of the Year Award and with the BSCES 2024 Citizen Engineer Award. Dr. Cosma was also inducted in Sigma Lambda Chi International Construction Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
