Bio
Sharon Brown is an Associate Professor of Construction Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry.
Sharon holds a Master of Science in Project Management of Construction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth.
She teaches estimating, project management, and building systems, drawing on her professional background to connect theory with practice. Her research focuses on the barriers women face in achieving and sustaining leadership roles in construction, with a commitment to advancing equity across the industry. She also advises the NECA student chapter and engages in outreach to promote construction careers to underrepresented groups.
