Forgot Your Password?
If you can’t sign in, here’s how to get back into your account.
-
If you’re unable to reset your password on your own, Tech Spot can help.
This usually means you haven’t set up a recovery method—like a personal email or phone number—to verify your identity.
Contact us and we’ll verify your identity and reset your password:
- In person: Beatty 318, regular hours 7:30 AM-6:30 PM M-Th, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM F
- Phone: 617-989-4500
After Tech Spot resets your password, you’ll need to create a new password following the instructions in Step 2.
-
After Tech Spot resets your password, follow these steps to create a new one:
- Go to the Change Password page.
- Enter your Wentworth email address.
- Complete the CAPTCHA and click Next.
- Verify your identity using a recovery method (email, phone, or app).
- Enter the verification code you receive, then click the Next button.
- Create a new password that meets the requirements below, and enter it in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
- Click the Submit button.
Password Requirements:
- At least 12 characters
- Cannot match your previous 6 passwords
- Cannot include your email, first name, or last name
- Must include 3 of the following:
- Uppercase letters
- Lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special characters
Note: Some common or easily guessed words aren’t allowed. If your password is rejected, try a more unique combination.
-
Add a recovery method to your account so you don’t need help from Tech Spot next time.
This is called Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)—it allows you to verify your identity and reset your password on your own.
- Open the SSPR setup page.
- If prompted, sign in with your work or school email and password.
- Add a verification method by selecting + Add sign-in method.
- Choose one or more options (we recommend at least two):
- Phone number (SMS or call)
- Personal email address
- Microsoft Authenticator app
- Verify each method by entering the code sent to you.
Once finished, you’ll be able to reset your password using these methods anytime.
