If you can’t sign in, here’s how to get back into your account.

  • If you’re unable to reset your password on your own, Tech Spot can help.

This usually means you haven’t set up a recovery method—like a personal email or phone number—to verify your identity.

Contact us and we’ll verify your identity and reset your password:

    • In person: Beatty 318, regular hours 7:30 AM-6:30 PM M-Th, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM F
    • Phone: 617-989-4500

After Tech Spot resets your password, you’ll need to create a new password following the instructions in Step 2.

  • After Tech Spot resets your password, follow these steps to create a new one:

    1. Go to the Change Password page.
    2. Enter your Wentworth email address.
    3. Complete the CAPTCHA and click Next.
    4. Verify your identity using a recovery method (email, phone, or app).
    5. Enter the verification code you receive, then click the Next button.
    6. Create a new password that meets the requirements below, and enter it in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
    7. Click the Submit button.

    Password Requirements:

    • At least 12 characters
    • Cannot match your previous 6 passwords
    • Cannot include your email, first name, or last name
    • Must include 3 of the following:
      • Uppercase letters
      • Lowercase letters
      • Numbers
      • Special characters

Note: Some common or easily guessed words aren’t allowed. If your password is rejected, try a more unique combination.

  • Add a recovery method to your account so you don’t need help from Tech Spot next time.

This is called Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)—it allows you to verify your identity and reset your password on your own.

    1. Open the SSPR setup page.
    2. If prompted, sign in with your work or school email and password.
    3. Add a verification method by selecting + Add sign-in method.
    4. Choose one or more options (we recommend at least two):
      • Phone number (SMS or call)
      • Personal email address
      • Microsoft Authenticator app
    5. Verify each method by entering the code sent to you.

Once finished, you’ll be able to reset your password using these methods anytime.
