May 21 - Deadline to submit writing sample
All Wentworth students complete a writing course sequence as a component of their degree requirements. To ensure that students are placed in the appropriate level of English, students must complete an online writing sample by June 14, 2024. Students are exempt from the writing sample if they have submitted SAT or ACT scores that meet the criteria below.
- SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 530 or higher
- ACT: English/Writing score of 20 or higher
If you submitted your SAT and/or ACT scores with your application to Wentworth, you do not need to resubmit them. If you have not submitted test scores and wish to do so, all scores must be submitted directly to Wentworth Admissions through the College Board or ACT websites no later than Monday, May 13, 2024. Students who meet the exemption requirements will be placed into English I for the fall semester. Students who receive a score of 3 or higher on the AP English exam may elect to take English II.
Writing samples can be submitted online through the admitted student portal.
For any questions regarding the writing sample, please reach out to Juval Racelis at racelisj@wit.edu or 617-989-4696.

June 15 - Health Insurance Waiver Available
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all students (undergraduate, graduate, and Co-op) who are enrolled as three-quarter time or more credits be covered by the student health insurance plan or a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. Wentworth automatically adds the charge for a Student Health Insurance Plan to the EBill of every student.
The student health insurance charge can be waived if you have adequate coverage as outlined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but you must take action to waive it. Health insurance and waiver information can be found on the Student Accounts Office website. You will be able to enroll in or waive the health insurance starting June 17 and is due August 1.
Students who are not covered by a family plan must enroll in the Student Health Insurance Program.
Students who have not waived or enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Program by the semester’s due date may incur late payment fees and have a hold on their student account that will prevent them from moving into campus housing.
