May 2025

  • May 21 - Deadline to submit writing sample

All Wentworth students complete a writing course sequence as a component of their degree requirements. To ensure that students are placed in the appropriate level of English, students must complete an online writing sample by June 14, 2024. Students are exempt from the writing sample if they have submitted SAT or ACT scores that meet the criteria below.

    • SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 530 or higher
    • ACT: English/Writing score of 20 or higher

If you submitted your SAT and/or ACT scores with your application to Wentworth, you do not need to resubmit them. If you have not submitted test scores and wish to do so, all scores must be submitted directly to Wentworth Admissions through the College Board or ACT websites no later than Monday, May 13, 2024. Students who meet the exemption requirements will be placed into English I for the fall semester. Students who receive a score of 3 or higher on the AP English exam may elect to take English II.

Writing samples can be submitted online through the admitted student portal(opens in a new tab).
