What We Do

  • Advancement Operations 

    Advancement Operations provides the necessary infrastructure, insights, and assistance that enable meaningful philanthropic engagement and support while strengthening long-term relationships with alumni and donors. Services we provide include constituent data and database management, gift processing and administration, reporting and analytics, prospect research, and communications support. 

  • Annual Giving

    Annual Giving inspires alumni, families, friends, faculty and staff to invest in student success by encouraging  support of the Wentworth Fund, which strengthens every area of the university. We build awareness of how collective giving fuels financial aid, hands-on learning, innovation, and the campus resources students rely on every day. 

  • Content Development

    Content Development produces engaging written and visual content that tells the story of Wentworth to alumni, donors, industry partners, family and friends, inspiring their continued engagement with the university. 

  • Donor Relations

    Donor Relations celebrates the generosity of Wentworth’s benefactors by recognizing their impact and conveying the university’s deep appreciation through thoughtful and timely stewardship. Through education, transparency, connection, and gratitude, Donor Relations strengthens lifelong relationships with the university community which cultivates trust and inspires continued and future philanthropy. 

  • Foundation Engagement

    Foundation Engagement at Wentworth builds strong, mutually beneficial relationships with local and national foundations to secure support for initiatives that advance the university’s mission and priorities. 

  • Government Relations

    Government Relations leads Wentworth’s efforts to strengthen relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders, securing government funding and elevating the university’s external profile. We identify and pursue funding opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and develop engagement strategies that enhance Wentworth’s reputation and expand its impact across community, industry, and government sectors.

    Industry Engagement develops and manages meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships between external partners and the university. Industry leaders drive innovation, transform workforce-ready education, and magnify community impact through partnership with Wentworth.

    Lifetime Engagement builds and maintains meaningful, lasting connections between the university's students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners. We offer opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and shared pride in the university through programs that inspire engagement at every stage of life.

Susan Green joined Wentworth in 2016 and currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Relations. With over 35 years creating and building multi-level, impactful relationships between donors, businesses, communities, and educational institutions, Susan is responsible for providing strategic oversight and operation management for all aspects of a university-wide alumni and donor relations program.

Executive Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving, Institutional Advancement

Katie DePrimo joined the Institutional Advancement & External Relations team at Wentworth in 2014 and serves as the Executive Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving, providing over a decade of experience in higher education fundraising and engagement. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing, designing, and implementing an omni-channel annual giving and alumni relations program that supports the university and provides mutually beneficial and meaningful engagement opportunities for alumni and the university.

Senior Associate Director of Industry Engagement

Xander Bennet joined Wentworth in late 2021. Since then, he has enjoyed connecting with students, faculty, alumni, and corporate partners to elevate the mission and bring resources to bear in support of high-value, hands- on learning. Away from campus Xander is an avid cyclist and traveler. He earned his Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Samantha is an experienced fundraising professional with expertise in corporate and foundation partnerships. Prior to joining Wenworth in 2023, Samantha worked at education and youth development nonprofit organizations in the Boston area. She is dedicated to fostering relationships that advance Wentworth's mission and make a positive impact on the community.

Erik Ryan

Erik Ryan
Position title
Senior Major Gifts Officer, University Advancement

Erik is passionate about education and enjoys connecting with alumni, parents, and friends to hear about the impact Wentworth has had on their lives. Erik has more than 20 years’ professional experience across corporate and higher education industries and is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Massachusetts and a long time volunteer at Boston Childrens Hospital. During Erik’s leisure time, he enjoys running, traveling with his wife, and dining out.
