Wentworth Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

Students on the quad

At Wentworth, we are dedicated to providing a hands-on education in the safest possible way. During the last year, we implemented numerous protocols to enable a return to campus and offer in-person instruction to students while preventing significant outbreaks of COVID-19.

Our efforts have been successful. We were able to resume some physical classes and labs last fall before adding more during the spring semester thanks to the hard work of all members of our community. Most recently, we welcomed guests to Wentworth’s Quad for commencement, becoming the first Boston-area university to host an in-person ceremony in which some students walked across a stage to receive their diplomas.

We’re excited to continue our upward momentum and we want to share the latest news with you as it becomes available. In order to plan a full return to campus this fall, we are requiring all students to be vaccinated by Aug. 14 and we are strongly encouraging all faculty and staff to likewise be vaccinated. These plans are comparable to those of the other Colleges of the Fenway institutions, as well as various universities in New England.

Please read through the information on the COVID-19 News and Resources page regarding this important decision. As always, we will continue to update you as we make further decisions based upon state and national guidelines.
