Bikes on Campus

Bicycles must use the right side of the roadways and streets and obey all traffic laws. Bicycles are not to be taken into buildings nor parked on sidewalks or within areas where they will interfere with wheelchair access ramps or routes, with pedestrians, or with motor vehicle traffic.

Students/Faculty and Staff are encouraged to use bicycle racks conveniently located about the campus and employ a good quality U-type lock.  Those wishing to secure their bicycle inside the bike shelter may do so on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be registered with Public Safety. Once you register your bike, you will be granted electronic access to the shelter and be given a bike permit. Please be reminded that this area is monitored via CCTV and bikes must always be properly secured with a U-Bolt security lock.

Bicycle Registration

The Department of Public Safety provides bicycle registration only to members of the Wentworth community. The department keeps this information on file for five years or as long as you are an active member of the community. In the event our department recovers a registered bicycle, we will make every reasonable effort to notify the owner by using the information provided on the form.

Once registered, community members have access to a secured bicycle storage shelter next to Beatty Hall. The facility requires card access, is accessible only to registered users, and is recorded by closed-circuit television cameras.
