The goal of the Switzerland trip is to provide students an opportunity to travel internationally and explore one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Switzerland has a very diverse array of landscapes, but one's eyes are naturally drawn to the mountains and all of the activities that they offer.

Being a country with 4 official languages, you will wake up in the morning in a part of the country that speaks German primarily, and a short 30 minute train ride away you will be in a city that speaks French.  Travel to the south and you will hear Italian and see palm trees, and head to a small pocket of the country to hear and see Romansch, a form of Latin.

Students have often said that this trip is the best thing that they have done in their 4 years of college, and I have no doubt that you will find the same if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and explore all that Switzerland has to offer.

We will be staying at the Hotel Savoy in Bern, a 4 star hotel that is conveniently located near the main train station in Bern.  Being close to the train station will provide us with easy opportunities to hop on a train to any destination within the country in a short period of time.

Being in the capital of Bern also offers you a chance to explore this small capital that has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site.  It's not hard to see why once you have visited it.  Bern was also the longtime home to such luminaries as Albert Einstein and painter Paul Klee.
