Payam Bakhshi
Bio
Dr. Payam Bakhshi is a Professor of Construction Management in the School of Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Dr. Bakhshi holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He also holds a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL), the CM-Lean certification from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), and the Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB) designation from Phius. He regularly presents at national and international conferences and actively mentors students through experiential learning and industry engagement.
He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and leads research in high-performance, sustainable, and resilient construction practices; construction technology; project delivery; infrastructure risk management; and experiential learning. Prior to entering academia, he worked in the construction industry for several years as a Project Manager.
