Wentworth Professor Mark Pasnik (Architecture) has been honored as part of Out Magazine’s 26th annual Out 100 list, a collection of LGBTQ+ trailblazers, artists, leaders and creators who have used their talent and voices to influence change and visibility in the past year.

“The Out100 is our magazine’s greatest and most well-known tradition: a prestigious compilation of the year’s most impactful and influential LGBTQ+ people,” the periodical’s publishers said. “This year's list honors the queer and trans people who are changing the game—and those we've lost.”

Pasnik was chosen for his advocacy surrounding public monuments and concrete modern buildings, which includes his role with leadership from Boston Public Schools and the Boston Mayor’s Office studying the future of the O’Bryant School complex in Boston. “My current architecture seminar and studio at Wentworth focus on preservation and heritage questions,” Pasnik said. “Five other faculty and I are working with forty-six architecture students from Wentworth and two dozen students from the John D. O’Bryant School to assess how to transform this existing concrete building and advocate for future improvement."
