Wentworth Professor: ‘Fixing the T Not Enough, We Need Massive Expansion’
The Boston Globe spoke with Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor Jim Lambrechts about the MBTA, a transit system that he believes cannot simply be remedied, but rather should be widely expanded.
Lambrechts has a background in engineering and worked on the relocation of the Orange Line to the Southwest Corridor back in the 1980s. He has since created classroom scenarios with his students that would restore service to Nubian Square, as well as a separate plan to extend the Blue Line to reach Back Bay and Fenway Park, in addition to Watertown.
