The Technology Project Management Seminar class at Wentworth Institute of Technology raised $3,000 for the YMCA of Greater Boston and its Food Insecurity program.

The class—taught by Professor Cindy Stevens—was challenged to raise funds and help the YMCA identify communities in need to be included in the YMCA's Food Truck Distribution program. The Y's Director of Food and Nutrition Services Karibe Ibeh was the project sponsor and liaison between the project leaders and the YMCA during the semester.

As the fundraiser drew to a close, the class was challenged to raise $2,000 by Saturday, March 26, with the promise that one set of donors, Professor Michael Mozill and Debra Mozill, would donate an additional $1,000 help the class accomplish the $3,000 goal.

The YMCA ultimately decided to donate back the $3,000 to Wentworth to support the Institute’s Food Pantry Program.

The Project Management class included Justin Truedson, Jacob Adams, Sindi Bendo, Diana Solano, Jake Hallisey, Darren Bryan, Shanan McGraw, Brenden Lloyd, Ben Coakley, Philip Martino, Bao Chua and Sam Rivelis.
