Lacrosse Player on Co-op in Israel Named Person of the Week
The Commonwealth Coast Conference Highlights Randy Ryan, Computer Science Major
A standout lacrosse player currently on co-op in Israel, Randy Ryan, Computer Science ’21, has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Person of the Week.
Working as a full stack developer with travel and transportation startup GoWith, Ryan is creating graphics for the company’s apps, coding and handling routing, among other tasks. Despite COVID-19, restrictions in the Middle East, Ryan told CCC that he is able to take classes with rabbis, “taking in the culture and learning Hebrew.”
He also shared that he was recruited to play lacrosse for Wentworth while in high school, quickly realizing that the Boston institution was the one for him.
“I eventually went to Wentworth for an overnight and I fell in love with the school,” he said in the interview. “I fell in love with the culture and I thought, ‘Okay this is my spot. This is the place to be for me.’”
