On June 7 Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Workforce Development and Professional Education concluded the first cohort of the Leadership in the Built Environment (LBE) Academy program, celebrating the achievements of 19 dynamic participants from various sectors of the industry.

This six-week professional development program aimed to enhance leadership skills, foster an entrepreneurial mindset, optimize individual strengths, and drive strategic value for women and allies in construction, architecture, facilities management, real estate, engineering, and infrastructure.

The LBE Academy boasted a stellar lineup of distinguished guest coaches, speakers, and facilitators. Among them were three Wentworth Board of Trustees members and alumni: Yanel deAngel, Rose Conti, and Kathy MacNeil. The program also featured insights from Tulika Hainsworth, Athene Siravallop, Smaiyra Million, Claire Cecile Pierre, Lisa Frisbie, Caroline Fitzgerald, and esteemed Wentworth alumni Desiree Patrice, Sharon Jozokos, and Eugene Kennedy.

Special thanks are due to program leaders Dr. Susan Duffy, Dr. Cindy Stevens, and Valerie Paquette for guiding participants through this transformative journey. Stay tuned for announcements on the next session dates. For more information, visit Wentworth's Leadership in the Built Environment page.
