Erica Castro of Softball Team Named CCC Coach of the Year

Seven members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) yearly awards. The team earned the most honorees in program history this season with the seven awards and reached the postseason for the first time since 2005.
Head coach Erica Castro was named CCC Coach of the Year, and senior Ceilidh Higgins earned CCC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Junior Kaitlin Pettenger and senior Alexandra Pina were named First-Team All-CCC, while senior Briana Beverly picked up All-Conference Second-Team honors. Junior Erin Hancock and senior Aurora Wilks earned yearly awards as well, taking Third-Team All-Conference honors.
